I'm a singer and actor living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I specialize in classic popular songs from Latin America, especially Colombia, my partner's homeland and a place rich in complex rhythms and diverse musical styles.

In April 2012, I released my first CD, "Arboles y Amores", accompanied by Rafael Manriquez, Zack Pitt-Smith, and Henry Hung. Then in December 2014, I released my second CD, "Diamantes en la Grama", with Rafael Manriquez, Zack Pitt-Smith, and Jeremy Allen. Please click on the links to the left to check them out. The pages include links to translations as well as mp3s of the songs. You can buy them at CD Baby, Amazon, iTunes, and other vendors

I'm so grateful for the airplay these albums have received on "Folk Music and Beyond" (KALW, San Francisco), "Spin The Globe" (KAOS, Olympia), "Mundofonias" (Radio Exterior de España, Madrid) and "Lo Mas W" (W Radio, Bogota), along with a phone interview by actress and radio personality Bianca Arango.

I'm also hoping to make some progress on researching the history of LGBT composers, poets, and singers in Latin popular music, such as (but hopefully beyond) Chavela Vargas, Bola de Nieve, Maria Elena Walsh, Chabuca Granda, and Ernesto Lecuona. Even today, this history remains for the most part hidden, but I want to be part of a movement to research and publish it. It's important to me to sing songs that connect in some way to my experience as a gay person, especially through the lyrics. I believe that the more specific I am as a singer, the more the audience -- regardless of their sexuality -- can relate to what I'm singing, and the more we engage with one another.
